TIGE 24 RZX Wake Boat Walkthrough Video Boat Review

The Tige 24 RZX is a handsome wake boat that combines classic styling and modern efficiency, with transom flip-up seats, a full 102-inch beam, a refreshingly unconventional color scheme and a hull design that creates ideal waves for a variety of watersports, especially wake surfing. Astonishingly, this nimble craft can carry up to 18 people, meaning you have plenty of room for fun in the sun.

Overall Design

The boat’s razor edge design is complemented by its distinct lines and lush diamond stitching. With state of the art technology onboard, featuring Tige’s GO System that allows the driver to keep a wake surfing wave long and mellow for beginners or all the way steep for experienced pros, this boat can provide a worthy wake for all levels and a comfortable platform for the whole family.

Wake Shaping Technology

The Tige 24 RZX has the TAPS 3T exclusive plate design installed – a system that utilizes military grade actuators that can withstand over 3 tons of pressure. Tige claims that TAPS 3T was tested down to the millimeter so that it will deliver consistent waves, set after set, and this became apparent under our testing conditions on the water in Austin, Texas recently.

Whether you’re setting up for wakesurfing, wakeboarding, skiing, or just a cruise, the GO System makes dialing in performance as easy as the press of a button. Perfect wakes are no sweat with this convenient, easy-to-use system that doesn’t require any advanced setup or dialing-in instructions.

Hull Shape: Convex V

In addition to the TAPS 3T there is of course the boat’s hull design itself. The Convex V is curved up toward the transom with a continuous rocker, similar to that of a wakeboard or surfboard. This helps create a great wake shape on its own, specifically by utilizing the Coanda Effect – the effect that causes fluid to adhere to a curved surface. The boat is also the first and only inboard to feature full trim capability. Combined with the Indmar Raptor engine and precise torque ratios, the unique hull shape works with the flow of water for bettter fuel economy and improved efficiency.

Alpha E3 Tower: An Electrically-Powered Wake Boat Tower

With thoughtful innovations in technology, versatility and performance, the Alpha E3 Powered Tower is a fully electric wake boat tower that raises and lowers with the push of a button via an electronic actuator. The Alpha E3 is available with an array of customizable options and side tow points designed with new riders in mind for easier learning how to find the pocket for the first time, and get surfers up in no time.

The tower can also be lit up with customizable LED colored lights to match the grab handles, blades and speaker lights. Add-ons include board racks (choose from either Skylock Board Racks, billet SwivelShock Racks or the Clamp 4rce Racks), a Bimini shade (the Surf Pocket Bimini) and tower speakers from Audison Pro-Audio.

Engine And Performance

Tige is powered by the marine industry legend, Indmar Marine Engines. Indmar has a pedigree going back 45 years and is the world’s largest privately held manufacturer of gasoline powered inboard marine engines. The Raptor Series are the first purpose-built engines designed specifically for watersports. Thanks to the Raptor Series’ unmatched torque, the amount of push is maximized, to create great waves regardless of the boat’s load. The closed cooled Raptor Series’ customized torque ratio is specifically designed to work hand in hand with Tige’s patented Convex V Hull, allowing the RZX to run at a lower RPM, resulting in up to a 33% increase in fuel economy, less noise, smoother cruising, less maintenance, and more prop range.

The largest of the Indmar Marine Engines available is the 6.2-liter V8 engine, which also happens to be the same engine powering the world’s most reliable and best selling Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty trucks. This engine is sure to make you feel acceleration in more than just your heart rate. With a 6.2L ROUSH Charged V8, 575 lb-ft of torque, and closed cooling, you can also say it’s the hardest working engine in the Raptor lineup. The engine is available in a few different sizes and power options including the Raptor 460, 440 or 400.
